This Privacy Policy explains how the Status Saver app ("the App") handles information. The App has no servers or user accounts of its own — it does not collect, upload, or sell your personal files. The only third party that processes data is Google, which serves the ads that keep the App free and provides the analytics we use to understand how the App is used (see Section 3).
You do not sign in, and we do not ask for your name, email, phone number, contacts, or precise location.
No personal files leave your device. The App stores a few small preferences locally (e.g. the folder you granted and your ad-consent choice) in its private storage. We do run usage analytics through Google (see Section 3) — this reports anonymous, aggregated events such as which screens are opened and how many statuses are saved or shared. It never includes your photos, videos, or file names.
The App is free and supported by ads served through Google AdMob (App Open, interstitial, native, and rewarded ads), and it uses Google Analytics for Firebase to measure how the App is used. To serve/measure ads and to provide analytics, Google and its partners may collect and process information such as:
This processing is carried out by Google under its own policies:
For users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and where required (including under Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019), the App shows a Google-certified consent message (UMP) before personalised ads are served. If you decline or where consent is not given, ads are requested in non-personalised mode. You can change your choice any time in Settings → Ad privacy choices (shown where applicable).
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
We keep no personal data on any server. Files you save remain on your device under your control. Local preferences persist until you clear the App's data or uninstall it. Data processed for advertising is retained by Google according to its own policies.
Depending on where you live (including under the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019, the EU/UK GDPR, and similar laws), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to withdraw ad consent. Because we hold no personal data ourselves, requests about advertising data should be directed to Google using the links in Section 3; for anything about the App, contact us (Section 9).
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective date" above and, where appropriate, within the App.
